Please send news of funding, awards, research discoveries, new collaborations and other noteworthy achievements from your institute or center to Roger Anderson, publications editor for Research Communications.
Globally-branded templates for WordPress, a user-friendly content management platform, are available for any institute or center to develop a website. We recommend that you take advantage of this option since it is easy to use, free to maintain, and integrates seamlessly with the Northwestern brand. However, you may choose to work with an external website developer, if preferred.
Research Communications will advise institutes and centers interested in developing a website through WordPress. Please contact Julie Cowan for further information.
- All members of the Northwestern University community can receive limited technical assistance, without charge, from the NUIT Support Center.
- Starting in Fiscal Year 2018, we are pleased to announce that the University Research Institutes and Centers Administration (URICA) will provide arrangements to obtain IT Desktop Support Services for administrative staff computers (e.g. Director of Operations & Outreach, Business/Finance Administrator, Program/Financial Assistant) at no-cost to the URICs. If administrative staff computers that qualify for coverage are already covered under an existing agreement, the URIC may elect to continue to utilize such services and request a reimbursement to offset those costs up to the “per user cost” under the URICA provided Desktop Support Services model. The Office for Research has partnered with NUIT to provide this service.
